Barnes' Carbon Bridge Slot Screen has been specifically designed and manufactured for use in deep water wells.  The slots are trapezoidal of 2-3/8" long base by 2-1/4" shortbase long, opening types I (0.060"), II (0.100"), III (0.125") which allow the use of any gravel filter.  We can manufacture other openings to your specifications between 0.030" and 0.150".  As the screen is used in water wells with a gravel filter, the slot design has a higher infiltration area and reduces the velocity of the entrance of water into the well.  Besides this, the screen's roundness is perfect which allows a higher strength to collapse.  The selection of the most convenient gravel filter assure an efficacy and sand free water well.

Barnes' Veritcal Slot Screen is produced by means of B.W. disk slotters.  This pipe is available in a wide variety of opening widths and with a different number of slots per linear meter.  Uniform slot openings account for this screen's high precision.  The many available opening widths and infiltration areas allow this screen to be used in many kinds of underground applications.  It is available with or without a welding collar, and in the same lengths as our plain pipe.  For available sizes and thickness please call 800-264-8840.
